What you're buying
Heavyweights Anonymous ("we", "us") sells a digital service: a single private group weight-loss competition, accessed via a unique URL. Each $5 purchase creates one competition.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your card details. The total is $5.00 USD, one-off. We do not charge subscriptions or recurring fees.
Right to cancel and refunds
Under UK consumer law, you usually have a 14-day right to cancel a digital service. By clicking "Continue to payment" and using the service you agree that we may begin providing it immediately, and you waive that 14-day right once we've activated your competition.
That said: if you're not happy, email heavyweightsanonymous@gmail.com within 24 hours of purchase and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked.
What we provide
We aim to keep your competition page accessible from purchase until at least 12 months after its end date. The page is provided "as is" and we make no specific uptime guarantees.
What you're responsible for
You confirm that everyone listed as a competitor has agreed to take part. Don't add people who haven't consented to having their name and weight on a shared leaderboard.
The service is not medical advice. If you have a health condition that affects your weight, consult your doctor before joining a weight-loss competition.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to harass or pressure anyone. Don't input offensive content. We can suspend or delete a competition that's being used to harm someone.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to this service is limited to the amount you paid us ($5).
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially, we'll publish the updated version here. Existing competitions are governed by the terms in force when they were purchased.
